The camera shot quiz consisted of telling a story through a series of 15 photographs using the technical techniques we learned during class with a partner.
The first order of business was to come up with a story. Eventually, still not sure how, my partner came up with “Pendiana Jones,” which was a recreation of the iconic scene of Indiana Jones stealing an artifact, but with a green highlighter I found in my bag.
That’s the story we landed on. After writing down which camera shots to use and what would be in the frame, we started taking photos. The close up of the highlighter and the artifact (one of my rings) is my favorite. I’m especially proud of the expression I drew for him in this scene. My own critiques are that the lighting for the shots could have been much better. The scenes where Pendiana Jones was inside the cave, a.k.a. the garbage can, were unevenly lit. Additionally, I felt as if the placement of the boulder was too far away and didn’t really seem like it was rolling towards the character. Overall, I believe we did a good job.
